This highly successful partnership has given young people from the Wirral the confidence to secure a future".

Mrs Sue Elliott, Assistant Headteacher,
Last year all our Year 10 pupils achieved a BTEC Introductory Certificate in Construction including one Year 9 pupil. These pupils are now working towards a BTEC Introductory Diploma in Construction.
In September 2008 another group of Year 10 pupils started and have already completed their first unit towards their BTEC Introductory Certificate.
The school puts this success down to the quality of the staff at Cornerstone who maintain an encouraging and supportive environment in which our pupils can thrive and achieve."

Litherland High School
Students from Litherland High School have attended courses at Cornerstone for the past three years. They have personalised timetables were they do GCSE's at the school and a BTEC Introductory Certifictae at Cornerstone, were they learn new skills in joinery, plastering and brickwork. This has had a positive impact on both behaviour and attendance, as well as improving students motivation towards learning in a different way. Relationships between staff at cornerstone and student/staff at Litherland High is excellent.

IMPACT
"IMPACT and Cornerstone have always shared a vision of providing quality vocational courses for young people who are practically minded and ready to take on vocational courses as part of their final years of compulsory education. Over the past 5 years the young people on IMPACT have benefited from a much wider variety of construction courses provided by Cornerstone - all with nationally recognised qualifications. Accommodation has continually improved and the young people now enjoy some of the best construction training facilities in Sefton at the Derby Road Site. Many young people have had a taste of the construction trades and moved on very successfully to either E2E programmes or College programmes as a result of their positive experiences".
Mrs Margaret Bridson, Headteacher.
The Acorns Centre,
' The training offer from Cornerstone has given our students the opportunity to progress. It has given them a positive experience by focusing on what they CAN achieve. Cornerstone builds confidence and self-esteem by developing skills the students didn't know they had. The taste of success is much nicer than the bitter taste of failure''
Ruff Lane, Ormskirk.
"We are very pleased with the training provided by Cornerstone Training for our E2E learners. All learners are given the opportunity to learn and practice skills in plastering, joinery and brickwork leading to a BTEC qualification. The partnership with Cornerstone has enabled many learners to progress to Apprenticeship programmes and/or further education"
